Terms of Service
(Tutoring & Performance coaching)
1. All sessions must be paid for at least 24 hours prior the start time of the booking. If sessions are not paid for in advance then it will be assumed the booking is no longer needed. (Please note these sessions will still be charged for if you do not contact the Tutor in advance - please see below).
2. If sessions are cancelled with less than 24 hours notice of the session time then full payment is required and no refunds will be issued. Less than 24 hours notice is unfortunately not long enough for the Tutor to schedule another student in that slot. In this situation sessions are not eligible to be rescheduled, and should a further session that week be required, then that session must also be paid for upfront.
3. All resources from the website are included free of charge with the tutoring. Students are not permitted to share the The Poole Creative Tutoring resources as these are a paid resource. If anyone undertaking tutoring with Kate is found in breech of this then they will be charged at the full cost of all resources provided to date.
4. If the Tutor is unable to attend a tuition session due to unforeseen circumstances the session will be rescheduled at no extra cost.
5. Any student under the age of 18 requesting a tuition service must have parental or a legal guardian’s permission to do so; the Tutor will require this in writing from them in advance of sessions commencing.
6. The Tutor and the Fletcher Foundation Academy is unable to guarantee specific grades due to their being so many variables beyond her control. The aim is to have every student reach their own individual potential and this will look different for everyone
7. Marking of student work will be conducted during the session and not any time outside of the one hour session. If additional work is submitted to be marked then this will be charged pro rota.
8. If a student is late to the session the finish time will need to remain as scheduled due to other students being booked in. If the tutor is late the full one hour will only begin once the tutor has started the session.
9. If lessons are pre-purchased in bulk (on an offer price) in the instance that a refund is requested, any lessons that the student did not communicate their absence, will be charged for. The lessons taken will also be charged for at the full rate of £85 (GCSE)/£100 (A-Level) per hour when calculating the refund amount.
10. Clients have the right to request to see what data Fletcher Foundation Academy Tutoring holds about them, by emailing info@fletcherfoundationacademy.co.uk. The HR team will aim to respond within 30 days of payment of an administration fee.
11. If you have regular (at least weekly) tutoring sessions with any Tutor at The Fletcher Foundation Academy for at least 3 months then a one off UCAS/University conversation will be offered at a discounted rate of £60 for the hour. This is able to be offered so that parents/guardians can also attend this meeting if required.
